The Dark Lady by Akala and The Outlaws Scarlett & Browne by Jonathan Stroud
Here are two absolutely brilliant young adult novels recently published, which feature parallel visions of London. The Dark Lady by Akala (Hodder) takes us all the way back to Elizabethan times, when Shakespeare roamed the streets. In the dystopic future of The Outlaws Scarlett & Browne by Jonathan Stroud (Walker Books), there aren't any streets left to roam - they're all under water!
